Never remove the third prong of a three-pronged plug. Convert two-pronged
outlets using an adapter with a ground tab.
Turn off an electrical product if a cord overheats.
When working outdoors, use only weather-resistant heavy-gauge extension
cords marked "for outdoor use."
Keep outdoor outlets and electrical products covered and dry between
uses.
If an electrical products falls into a pool or pond, unplug it
before you reach into the water.
Be sure amperage ratings for outdoor extension cords are higher
than those of the electrical product with which they're used.
Never try to repair electrical products yourself.
Never touch a line on the ground.
Avoid using an "octopus" adapter that cound overload
the circuit
Be sure your tools and appliances have been tested by Underwriters
Laboratories or a similar organization, so you know they're safe.
Use the right size extension cord, and only temporarily.
Keep all appliance cords in good condition.
